Every day, I’ll pick a brand and choose one car I think represents the pinnacle of their design - not just the looks, but technology, engine, and desirability as well. The car had to be sold new in the USA.

Round 8

Cadillac has been making cars for over a century. They’ve made countless amazing looking cars, cars that were at top of the game for the period. The latest resurrection of Cadillac - new ATS, CTS, CT6, Escalade, XT5 - are all great cars in their respective categories, but are hardly the standard of the world.

I was very close to pick an Escalade for this, but I left my flame suite at home. I think that Escalade saved Cadillac from extinction when it was introduced, as it provided dollars (lots and lots of dollars) when GM really needed them. Escalade is what many people think of when Cadillac is mentioned today, but Cadillac reached its peak in 1959, with the Eldorado Biarritz. We’ve had articles about this car on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . It is as american as apple pie, ultimate american expression of excess, wealth and a symbol of all that was great about this country 50+ years ago. While a nice CTS-V or ATS-V is definitely my choice of a car, it is not even in the same league when it comes to the pinnacle of Cadillac design.

Another post I agree with. The 59 is the definitive Cadillac

Well, google 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz and not too many nice photos of pink ones pop up. But I guess you are correct, it needs to be pink the be the ultimate.
